Asato Ikeda was born in Tobe, Ehime Prefecture, which is famous for its porcelain. He is the third generation of the Ryu-sen kiln. Their works live up to the name of the kiln and have unique designs that resemble dragon scales.
Ikeda takes a further leap forward by combining the original design with nature-inspired elements and the notion of free consciousness.
Speaking of uniqueness, Ikeda simply concludes that "Even if you know how to make it, you can't imitate it."
